In Madrid, taking the metro has been more than just a simple journey. It has become the beginning of an open-air exhibition visit. To celebrate San Isidro, the iconic Spanish festival, the entrances to the Ópera and La Latina stations have been completely clad in striking, colourful murals. The walls, stairways and handrails have lit up in intense yellows, deep reds and vibrant blues, turning each station entrance into a cultural gateway. Passers-by have been able to rediscover their neighbourhood through this unique setting.

Conceived for El Corte Inglés by JCDecaux, in collaboration with Dentsu, this initiative has reinvented brand communication in public spaces. At the heart of this campaign for the clothing brand lies Coco Dávez’s graphic universe: stylised silhouettes of a Madrid couple, references to emblematic monuments and festive nods to San Isidro combine to create a visual story accessible to everyone, from local residents to visitors just passing through.
