The roof took on the look of a vegetable patch, the benches were made of wood and colourful vegetables appeared across the panels. While waiting for the bus, passengers found themselves in a small pocket of greenery right in the middle of the city.

JCDecaux bus shelter in Zwolle transformed into a colorful Lidl Tuintjes urban garden, with illustrated vegetables on the roof and wooden panels inviting passers-by to start gardening in the city.

That’s the whole point of this kind of activation: placing the campaign where people pass by every day. With this bus shelter, JCDecaux and Lidl didn’t just talk about gardening... They brought a piece of it onto the pavement. A reminder to city dwellers that you can still grow a bit of green, even between two journeys.
