As the UK celebrates the Royal birth of William and Kate’s first son, advertisers have the opportunity to put the flexibility of digital screens to good use! The Sun runs today a tactical campaign across JCDecaux’s Transvision rail screens, showing a crowned baby surrounded by 4 other celebrity babies dressed up like their mum and dad. The punch line of the campaign reads “Your Royal Highness, Meet your fellow future rulers of the world”. It is not the first time that digital flexibility is used for a national event. In 2010, JCDecaux’s PrimeTime screens had been used by Hello! Magazine to spontaneously announce the publication of a “Souvenir Edition” to congratulate the couple after they officially got engaged.
