COMMITMENT. Going back decades.
Ever since it was founded, JCDecaux has been committed to conserving resources. From our efforts to reduce our environmental impacts, our various pro-active policies have evolved into a comprehensive approach to sustainable development. We have made sustainable development a central tenet of the Group's strategy, transforming it into a key driver of innovation and competitiveness.
BUSINESS MODEL. Responsible and sustainable.Developed by Jean-Claude Decaux in 1964 with the advertising bus shelter, we have since applied our business model to all our current activities. With no impact on local finances or taxpayers, our business model enables us to innovate continuously to meet the needs of cities and citizens and to deliver smart and responsible mobility solutions. With over 200 areas of in-house expertise, our command of every step of the value chain allows us to guarantee optimal quality for the products and services offered and attend more closely to our clients’ needs.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY. Our six priorities. In 2014, we renewed our commitment to sustainable development through the implementation of JCDecaux's Sustainable Development Strategy. The strategy consists of six priorities distributed across the three components of Sustainable Development, covering all of the activities and subsidiaries of JCDecaux around the world.
1. Reduce our energy consumption
2. Reduce our other environmental impacts
