Since 1999, the objective of the JCDecaux Group has been to promote ongoing sustainable development, with a unit specialising in quality and environment management. In 2007, JCDecaux set up the Sustainable Development & Quality Department. This department reports directly to the Executive Board. Its scope of responsibility covers all the Group's activities in France and abroad.
The role of the Sustainable Development & Quality Department is to:
- Define and implement the Group's strategic objectives in terms of sustainable development;
- Unite the subsidiaries in the implementation of action plans,
- Consolidate the Group's leading role.
With a direct involvement at each key link in the value chain and at the heart of the company's day-to-day operations, the Sustainable Development & Quality Department is a team of three staff based at Plaisir (France). Led by Virginie Gatin, Director, the implementation of sustainable development is supported and carried out by members in each subsidiary.
