JCDecaux intends to acquire 24.9% in Ankünder (Austria)

Paris, 14 June 2012 – JCDecaux SA (Euronext Paris: DEC), the number one outdoor advertising company worldwide, announced today that its Austrian majority owned subsidiary Gewista intends to acquire 24.9% of Graz based Outdoor Advertising company Ankünder (founded in 1924). This transaction which is subject to Anti-Trust Approval would involve the contribution by Gewista of certain of its Austrian assets into Ankünder.

Jean-François Decaux, Co-Chief Executive Officer of JCDecaux, said: “We know Ankünder very well through our JV companies in Croatia and Slovenia. This deal will enable Gewista/Ankünder to enhance the quality of their national campaigns and as a result be beneficial to their clients on the Austrian market.”
