This Just In: The Coolest Chat

To promote Samsung’s Galaxy S4 new chat service, ChatON, JCDecaux Innovate Netherlands and Samsung had a very cool idea: offer people the chance to order their ice-cream whilst waiting for their bus! Commuters waiting for their bus on Amsterdam’s famous Leidesplein Square were invited to order a free Ben&Jerry’s ice cream through Samsung’s chat device. The bus shelter’s panel was converted into a giant version of the new Samsung Galaxy S4, and people were able to order a free scoop of ice-cream through the screen’s live video chat. The ice-cream could then be picked-up at a Ben&Jerry’s ice-cream parlour nearby. The live chat was available a few hours per day for two days. This Innovate campaign was a great success: an ice-cream was ordered every 90 seconds.
